It was serialized on weekly Shonen Jump for over four years beginning 1972. TEAM ASTRO defied easy description, the actual story being anything but ordinary, and the plot serving as a vehicle for freakish displays of jaw-dropping superhuman endeavors. TEAM ASTRO was almost forgotten until 1999 when it was reissued in five volumes, sparkling a revival among long-time fans of the manga.
